LOG-BOOK

"I want you!" we'll this is not what we saw on our COCC recruitment ads. It was WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE. WHO: ALL 3RD Year students, WHAT: COCC recruitment, WHEN: (I don't remember the date anymore), WHERE: HQ. This was the talk of the town. Most of us "junior's" would love to take this challenge. Some would boast that its easy, some would say "the challenge is great but it's not for me". To be honest, I don't have any idea of what the recruitment was all about. BATALLION'S , APLHA, BRAVO, S1, S2, S3 ?!.. "Anu yun?". All I know is that officers would wear snappy uniforms, that they would have that obvious presence in a crowd, in short, ASTIG!.

The day that I signed up, I saw my self beside "JACKQUELINE SANTOS". We we're standing by side in HQ ready to fill out the COCC form. Looking at her, I saw in her eyes the determination. Its like she's angry of something , don't know why. And then somebody shouted " TIGER LOOK! " ," AAhhh , kaya pala". We need to wear that TIGER LOOK. Reason? don't know yet, ofcourse I'll find out soon. So I crampled my face to have that TIGER LOOK. "STRAIGHT BODY! CHIN IN! HANDS BACK! . "Dami naman pinagagawa, nde pa nga ako nakaka-sign up eh".

So I filled out the form, observed and tried to invive the environment. There I saw most of CL-07. "Impressive", that's how I can describe CL-07. Like our batch, they're also a mix of diff characters. But ofcourse standing out is their Corps Commander " Sir Anguluan"(Micheal Jordan look-a-alike). Then we heard "Tok, tok, tok! Permisyon to enter ser!" , Corps Commander answered back "Enter". Then followed "Enter ser!", Corps Commanders answers "N'ter", i guess that's the way, "short cut". They breifed us of what to expect and gave us some reminders. Forgive me, but i no longer remeber  all of CL-07.

So there we we're, the new recruits, from diff sections. Still checking the feel of being a COCC. A lot of meetings after class. We we're told to observe the COCC look. Tucked in polo, close neck and with the shiny COCC pin. Hair cut?! clean cut is ok at this point.

Talking about meetings after class, who'll forget the naughty but gay "ACE GENERALO". The person behind making every afterclass meeting complicated.(Hehehe joke lng bro). It was intersting the way we argue. Parang telenovela, "abangan ang susunod na pagaawayan". Cool! enjoy nga eh.

Remember "PUTCHA NAMAN EH?!" the unforgatable, contagious expression of the "SILVER BOYS" , "ANTHONY CASTRO, BRYAN BALTAZAR and ERICKSON MACALALAD". Lahat ata nahawa eh. Good enough, I already got rid of this expression in my system. Whenever there's something unusual, funny, maybe crazy, o kahit wala lng, "PUTCHA NAMAN EH?!" , that's the ice breaker.

Love teams in our batch, there's a lot. Meron pa ngang mga "TRADE IN" eh. If not "TRADE IN", others do the "NEXT PLS" , some that's not too charismatic with girls would do "KAHIT SINO NA NGA?!" ligaw lng ng ligaw. Parang Lotto.

And so our 3rd year class has ended, and to start our real COCC training. "Enter our mentors" 1LT Danilo C Formalejo and 1LT Augustus S Fuentes. Our first training encounter was our first PT or morning exercise. It was around 6 AM, every body's in their PT attire waiting the lead of Sir Fuentes. Ofcourse we were all weiry on what will happen at the same time very excited. Someone initiated and volunteered to lead the excercise, Guess who?! Sino pa?! but the ever lovable but gay "ACE"(pareng ace joke lang ulit ha).

WAPAK! That signaled our COCC training. Sir Fuentes coming from behind, gave animated ACE the marking WAPAK!. Isang malupit na batok! Everybody silent after that, or hardly tries to be silent and hides the laughs. I guess Sir Fuentes was not happy seeing ACE lead us like it was an aerobics class. (Pagtalikod ni ACE, markang marka pre, hehehe, jke lng ulit ACE)

Mucho Gwapito!!! something i believe all of us remembers or the other way around, this might be something that we'll never forget. Mucho Gwapito!!! we shout, at every end of our COCC training day. Its like our AMEN to a long day of hard training.
